Mahindra 2 Wheelers today marked its entrance into the Indian Motorbike market by unveiling two models of motobikes. The teaser campaigns had already made its impact with the Indian people and almost all of them were awaiting the final product that was to be got out of the Mahindra stable. The first bike to be brought out was Mojo. The Mojo is a 300cc bike and generates 26 bhp. Priced at 1.5 L ex-showroom Pune, the bike is aimed cater to the niche crowd as well as those college going bike enthusiasts. The Mojo, to put it in Anand Mahindras words is a bike that "epitomises style, comfort and passion."
The Second offering came in with a surprise package. Actor turned Director and Producer Aamir Khan walked in as the brand ambassador for the Stallio, Mahindras 106.73 cc bike. Priced at Rs. 44,699 (ex-showroom Pune), the bike will be manufactured in the Pitamber plant outside Indore and as informed by Anoop Mathur, Vice Chairman and MD, Mahindra Group, production is already in full swing. When asked about their marketing strategy for the upcoming festive season both Anand Mahindra and Anoop Mathur refused to divulge any information.
When Aamir was asked about his association with two wheelers, the actor did underline the fact that he had used motorbikes only in films or to take his children out for a ride. He confessed that his association with bikes was limited but yet praised the fusion of the Italian design and engineering and the Indian touch. Furtheron when asked about what else could be expected from the Mahindra stable, Anoop Mathur, yet again, let time be the witness of what they have instore.
