Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), has been conferred the 'All India Award for Export Excellence 2008-09' by the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC). HMIL was awarded the Gold Trophy – in the Large Enterprise category. The Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Anand Sharma bestowed the award to HMIL, at a function organized recently in Bangalore.
Receiving the award, Mr Arvind Saxena Director - Marketing & Sales, HMIL said, "We are delighted to receive this award for the fourth consecutive year. For the past few years, EEPC has been recognising our accomplishments and awarding us for excellence in exports. This award is a testimonial to our relentless hard work and commitment in ensuring ‘Made in India’ cars are driven in all corners of the world."
HMIL is surely going to face competition with Ford India planning to produce cars and export it to other countries. The stiff competition will be one to watch out for and only time will tell who emerges as the winner.
