Ferrari had limited the hypercar LaFerrari’s production to only about 499 units for exclusivity. However, this time around the popular sports carmaker has decided to produce the 500th unit of the La Ferrari for auction and used the money raised to provide relief to the recent earthquake effected people in Italy. The powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake left nearly 250 people dead and many injured.
The ones who own the LaFerrari had to shell around £1.15 million (Approx. Rs 10.2 crore). The last unit which is likely to be auctioned soon is expected to fetch close to £3 Million or more (Rs 26.5 crore - 30 crore). Powered by a 6.3-litre V12 engine, it generates a powerful 950bhp of power. The hypercar is capable of achieving a top speed of about 349kmph and does a 0-100kmph in just about 2.5 seconds.
The last unit of the LaFerrari ever to be produced not just offers a chance to own the final masterpiece but also gives the interested buyer a chance to do some good deed. Each of the standard LaFerraris come with Limited Edition badging that also states the unit number for exclusivity. The sports carmaker has not revealed the confirmed dates for the auction yet and it is expected to be known in the coming days.
