Land Rover has announced the launch of a new petrol version of the Range Rover Sport. The luxury SUV is now available with a 2-litre petrol motor developing nearly 300bhp and 400Nm of torque. Priced at Rs 86.71 lakhs ex-showroom for the base trim, this new offering is available in S, SE and HSE variants.
The Range Rover Sport is one of Land Rover’s highest selling premium models and the launch of this new entry-level petrol trim is bound to enhance its appeal further among the masses. Inside, features include a sliding panoramic roof and electrically powered tailgate. For 2019, the Range Rover Sport comes with a range of additional features including three-zone climate control, cabin air ionisation and parking assist.
The cabin also gets Land Rover’s updated Touch Pro Duo infotainment system including a 12.3-inch display and a colour head-up display. Coming back to the 2-litre petrol engine, the rather compact unit makes plenty of power and allows the Sport to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.1 seconds and hit a top speed of over 200 kmph.
Besides the 2-litre version, the Range Rover Sport petrol line-up also includes the high performance SVR version.
