25 Indian teams to participate in Force Gurkha RFC India 2016

This year’s edition of the Force Gurkha RFC (Rain Forest Challenge) India will see 25 Indian teams participating in the event. It will take place in Goa from July 22 to July 29.

The RFC India panel recently announced the list of the 25 Indian teams, which can be seen below. Most of the competitors from the first two seasons of the event are again going to participate in the extreme off-roading challenges. The list includes a lot of prominent off-road enthusiasts in India who will compete against one another in a bid to win the Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 championship.

Ashish Gupta, Director of Cougar Motorsport Pvt. Ltd., said, "It is heartening to see the overwhelming response that we have received this year. With almost two months to go for the event, we have already closed entries. This year's list of Indian competitors is the best I could have asked for with a balanced mix of new talent, RFC India veterans and seasoned off-roaders. I think this is a culmination of all the hard work that we have done and the goodwill we have earned since we launched the event in 2014."

RFC India is one of the toughest and the first international off-road motorsport event of India. It is an extreme off-road motorsport event, which is a part of the RFC Global Series with 25 editions worldwide. Its Mother Event is held in Malaysia and is pitted to be amongst the top 10 toughest motor races in the world.

RFC India includes a week-long event that tests the driving and vehicle recovery skills of the competitors. All of this is under extreme off-road conditions through a series of challenges or Special Stages (SS). The team with the maximum points at the end of all the SS is announced as the winner of the competition, and the best Indian driver of the event gets a free entry to RFC Malaysia. This is where he competes with the best off-roaders from across the world. Registrations for the 2016 edition of the Force Gurkha RFC India had begun in March and have been closed now.
