Mahindra KUV100 interior spied

The cabin of the Mahindra KUV100 has been revealed ahead of its official launch on January 15. Pictures reveal an unusual six-seater layout and a dashboard mounted handbrake lever. We can also see other bits and pieces from the Mahindra parts bin.

The steering, instrument cluster and bits on the centre console all look to be an amalgamation of parts from the TUV300 as well as the larger Scorpio SUV. However, the gearbox is dashboard mounted while the AC controls have been arranged in a vertical fashion. This is probably a higher spec model as it has a 2-DIN music system with USB and AUX compatibility as well as steering mounted audio controls.

The front passenger seat appears to be an extended model which has been achieved via the absence of a centre console. It has a two-tone setup with brown as the primary colour and beige inserts. The door panels too are beige (as is the case with most Mahindra cars). There are also shiny plastics for the dashboard and door panels.

Mahindra revealed the KUV100 last month and is its first vehicle into the highly competitive B-segment where it will stand against cars like the Etios Cross, Fiat Avventura and the VW Cross Polo.
