Pictures of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class have been leaked ahead of its official debut at the end of this year. The two pictures reveal that the GLS-Class has now moved upmarket and will be more in line with the S-Class core model that it is now in league with.
The front end gets a new grille, larger Mercedes-Benz logo and headlamps very similar to what we have been seeing on the new generation S-Class. The side profile remains unchanged while the rear gets a chrome package for the diffuser and redesigned tail lamps.
The GLS-Class will be the flagship SUV from the German automaker (as is the case with the current GL) when it is launched. It is expected to be offered with both petrol and diesel engines but only with an AT.
We can expect an Indian debut by this time next year and as is the case with the current SUV, we will get it with a single diesel engine and most probably a nine-speed AT.
