Subaru has taken the covers off what can only be billed as the ultimate version of the current generation Impreza. Called the S207, production for this new iteration will be quite restricted, with all 400 units to be sold in Japan only.
Besides the loud yellow paint and an all-new aero package in this NBR Challenge Package Yellow Edition, Subaru has fitted the S207 with a reworked version of its famous 2-litre, four-cylinder Boxer engine. The engine features a new intake, revised exhaust, different ECU and turbocharger for a power output of 323bhp and 430Nm of torque.
All of these mechanical changes bring a nearly 20bhp improvement over the regular Impreza STI. Additionally, Subaru has also quickened the steering rack and added new bracing for the strut towers and rear subframe for improved handling and agility.
With production limited to just 400 units, Subaru has announced that the striking looking Impreza S207 will be sold in Japan alone.
