- Upgraded feature list
- EV not yet updated
The 2025 Tata Tigor range has been launched in India at Rs. 6 lakh. Like its hatchback sibling, the Tigor has got a massive feature list upgrade, and new paint schemes and this has been initiated for both the petrol and CNG variants but not yet for the Tigor EV.
Design Highlights
On the outside, apart from the paint schemes, the only major change is that the top-spec versions get 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, for the top-spec model, Tata has added a new bigger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone mirroring, climate control, power-folding mirrors, LED light package, 360-degree camera, TPMS and USB-C charging ports.
Powertrain options and competition
It shares its 1.2-litre engine with the Tiago and thus has the same output. In petrol guise, the output stands at 84bhp/113Nm and can be had with either a five-speed MT or a five-speed AMT. The CNG version uses the same engine but with an output of 72bhp and 95Nm. This engine too can be had with a five-speed MT or a five-speed AMT.
The Tigor had long been due for an update and the things that Tata has fitted to the car give it quite some strength in terms of standing up to the competition. It’s a rival for the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Wagon R and the Renault Triber. You can also look at entry-level versions of the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and the Maruti Dzire.
