Jeep India recently launched the updated Meridian SUV in the country at a very aggressive starting price of Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Meridian is available with cosmetic upgrades including feature additions and a new five-seater version across four variants, namely, Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O), and Overland.
Mechanically, the Jeep Meridian continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual and a nine-speed automatic torque converter unit. As for the seating configuration, except for the new five-seater Longitude version, all other variants continue to be offered with a seven-seat layout.
That said, the new Meridian, in the top-spec Overland guise now gets an ADAS suite with over 11 features and upgraded uConnect tech, which is a welcome addition.
