- New Dzire is offered in seven colours and four variants
- Is the first Maruti car to score five stars in the Global NCAP crash test
The new-gen Maruti Dzire was launched in India earlier this month. The model is available in four variants, namely LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. We have detailed the ZXi+ variant in our review, while details of the LXi variant arriving at dealerships have been detailed on the website too. In this article, we take a closer look at the mid-spec VXi variant.
On the outside, the 2024 Dzire VXi variant gets turn indicators on the ORVMs, steel wheels with wheel covers, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, and a chrome insert for the grille. For the uninitiated, the fourth generation of the sub-four-metre sedan scored five stars in the Global NCAP crash test.
Inside, this mid-spec variant of the Dzire is equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen system, OTA updates, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, height-adjustable driver seat, and a USB Type-C charging port for the second row.
The Dzire is propelled by a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z12E petrol engine producing 80bhp and 112Nm. Also up for offer is a CNG version where the power output is reduced to 69bhp and 102Nm. A five-speed manual is standard, while the petrol version also features an AMT unit as an option. The model is priced from Rs. 6.79 lakh to Rs. 10.14 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
