- Averages 10,000 units per month
- 79 per cent comprise sunroof variants
Kia Motors has announced the sales figures of the facelifted Sonet with a detailed break-up that gives us more insights. The 2024 iteration was launched at the start of this year and has already crossed the one lakh units sold milestone.
A further comprehension shows 76 per cent of buyers went for the petrol variant and the remaining 24 per cent chose the diesel counterpart. Interestingly, 79 per cent of the Sonet's sales constitute the variants equipped with a sunroof. Moreover, considering the demand for automatic cars, the Sonet equipped with the iMT and automatic transmission comprise 34 per cent of the overall sales.
Achieving this success within 11 months of its launch is a great landmark for Kia. The Sonet facelift is available across 22 variants, in both petrol and diesel models, and even with different gearbox options. This gives buyers a wide variety for a car that caters to the SUV proposition and offers the most modern-day features. But will this sales success slow down with the upcoming new Syros sibling? It will be interesting to see how things shape up in the coming month when bookings for the Syros start. Stay tuned.
