- Refreshed inside-out
- Expected to get segment-first ADAS
Honda is all set to launch the third-generation Amaze in India tomorrow. While some dealerships have started receiving the units detailing the changes, the official unveil will happen tomorrow in Delhi along with a variant-wise price announcement.
Thanks to the leaked images, we all already know how the car looks with its front design like the Elevate, and the rear like the City. It looks good, proportionate, and in line with the carmaker's portfolio in the country. Also, it's said to be 33mm wider than the outgoing model, which will be confirmed tomorrow.
Inside, the new Amaze gets a redone dashboard with fabric upholstery. The compact sedan will be offered in three variants — V, VX, and ZX. In terms of features, the top-of-the-line ZX variant is likely to sport LED headlamps and taillights, rear AC vents, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charger. However, images show it will not get ventilated front seats or a sunroof.
Nevertheless, as far as safety is concerned, Honda has reportedly equipped the 2024 Amaze with a lane-watch camera, six airbags, and ADAS. The latter will be a segment-first feature if confirmed at the launch. However, it might not get a 360 camera like the new Dzire, but still, a rear parking camera will be offered on the top-spec variants.
Powertrain
This will be the third-generation Honda Amaze and will be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as the outgoing model. It will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard and also have a CVT option.
