The upcoming electric version of the Renault Kwid for China, likely to be called the Venucia E30 was recently spied on test. It is believed that the Kwid facelift for India is also likely to see similar updates rather than receiving a completely revamped fascia like the Renault City K-ZE which was showcased recently at the Shanghai Motor Show.
The facelift version of the Renault Kwid in India is likely to get a redesigned grille and revised set of headlamps which are now sharper and come with chrome finish. The vehicle will no longer get turn indicators on the fenders as it will now come integrated into the ORVMs. The new model will also get a larger air dam, while at the rear, it will get a set of redesigned tail lamps and slimmer diffuser with a stop lamp.
As for the interior, the India-bound Kwid facelift will get a larger infotainment system with the new voice recognition feature. The AMT version of the vehicle is likely to offer the drive selector dial mounted on the centre console, while the rest of the elements are likely to be carried forward from the existing version. Mechanically, the new model will continue to be powered by the existing 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine options. It will also continue to be offered with a five-speed manual and AMT options.
