The new-generation Hyundai Xcent has was spied on test ahead of its anticipated unveiling at the 2020 Auto Expo in the country. Reports indicate that the new model is likely to be based on the recently launched compact hatchback, the Grand i10 Nios.
It is believed that the new model will get the boomerang DRLs which are neatly laid out in the honeycomb grille. The vehicle is expected to get R15 alloy wheels and chrome door handles for freshness. The new model is expected to get revised taillights and the license plate has been moved from the boot lid to the bumpers.

As seen in the Grand i10 Nios, the Xcent is expected to get leather-wrapped steering wheel, bolstered front seats with convex shaped headrest, while the rear seats have been designed to offer superior thigh and back support. The vehicle is expected to get engine start/stop button, driver seat height adjustment, 20.25cm touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and more.
Mechanically, it will get the 1.2-litre BS-VI compliant petrol engine option while a BS-VI diesel might be available before the April 2020 deadline. More details about the vehicle will be known at a later date.
