The new generation Hyundai Elite i20, due in mid-2020, will be even more feature packed than the current car. For starters, it will get BlueLink from the Hyundai Venue. Which means it will have an integrated sim, concierge service, and on the automatic versions, the ability to start the engine and turn on climate control.
It will also get a sportier design. So expect more pronounced wheel arches, a sharper shoulder line, and a more prominent grille up front. Hyundai is also looking to go up on wheel size to fill those sportier arches. But, that’s not all. The new Elite i20 will also get disc brakes all round.
It will be roomier than the current car too. Not only is the new car said to be longer and wider, but it will also sit on a longer wheelbase. Interestingly, the new Elite i20 will use a modified version of the Venue’s platform.
Other features on the new i20 will include a single zone climate control system, rear aircon vents, and a sunroof. Expect the top trims to sport six airbags as well.
The new generation Hyundai Elite i20 will compete against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, and the new Toyota Glanza, among other premium hatchbacks. And if the new Hyundai Venue pricing is anything to go by, it should shake up the market when it’s launched.
