-Â Â Â The Z badged car will be launched in 2019
-Â Â Â Is expected to share underpinnings and engine with next-generation Toyota Supra
-Â Â Â Showcased as a concept in 2017
Leaked images of the production spec BMW Z4 have surfaced on the interweb. The car was showcased as a concept last year and will be launched globally in 2019. The leaked images show that the Z4 will stay mostly true to the 2017 concept car. The sharp and aggressive lines of the concept vehicle have been softened in favour a more rounded design that is in line with the current BMW philosophy.
The pictures also reveal a black and white interior, convertible options for the car (a forte of the BMW Z series of vehicles) and most importantly an M40i badge. This symbol on the back is indicative of a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six mill, which, in the current crop of Beemers, produces 355bhp/500Nm. An eight-speed AT is expected to be on offer but also a manual option may also be on the cards due to the sporty nature of this car.
BMW has developed this next-generation Z4 in conjunction with Toyota who will badge their car with the legendary moniker-Supra. This Z4 is India-bound and should be on our roads with steering on the right side by late 2019.
