- The same design will be seen on the upcoming Tucson facelift
- Might also make its way to other Hyundai products
The new-gen Hyundai Azure was recently spotted undergoing a photoshoot ahead of its official reveal. This flagship sedan sports the newest design language from the Korean carmaker. This same design will be used by the upcoming Tucson facelift and is also expected to be used on other Hyundai vehicles in future.
Hyundai is on a roll with its new design. We saw a radical approach on the new ix25 which will arrive in India as the new-gen Creta. Apart from that, the new-gen Verna was also revealed with a comprehensively updated exterior. Even the Chinese-spec Verna carries forward many elements from the new Azera sedan.
For the starters, there’s the new grille. It is an intricately designed single-piece unit with a diamond finish on it. Moreover, some images also reveal that these diamonds which have been placed closer to the headlamps will be illuminated as well, giving it a very concept-esque appeal. Even the headlamp design is new and looks quite appealing. The multi-spoke alloy wheels are new as well. The single-piece taillight design running across the rear is also a part of the new design philosophy.
Being a flagship, the cabin is utterly modern and laden with all the plush bells and whistles. The MBUX-like floating screen integrating the instrument cluster and the infotainment screen is seen in the images. Hyundai has also eliminated the gear lever and in its place, there are buttons on the floating centre console. Even the steering wheel design looks concept-like.
The new-gen Azure will make use of the same powertrain options as before when it will go on sale in the Korean markets next year. Although it won’t come to India, we can see some of the new Azure’s design elements being incorporated in the future Hyundai cars in the country.
