The Alfa Romeo Tonale plug-in hybrid, which is almost at the production stage, has been showcased at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2019. The second big product from the company, the Tonale will be relatively smaller than the Stelvio. Just like the Stelvio, which gets its name from the Stelvio Pass in the Alps, the Tonale gets its name from the Tonale Pass in the Alps.
The company claims that the vehicle will get a practical driver-focused cockpit and will not be flamboyant or as the company puts it as, ‘egoistic’. The Tonale will, however, get a wider infotainment system, multi-coloured upholstery and a fully digital infotainment system. Although mechanical details are not known, for now, it is believed that the vehicle will be powered by the regular combustion engine and an electric motor.
Media reports reveal that the production version of the Alfa Romeo Tonale will be ready by the end of 2020. More details about the vehicle will be known at a later date.
