It's over 10 years since the launch of the Toyota Fortuner in India. Close to 1.6 lakh units of the SUV have been sold so far, and to celebrate this Toyota Kirloskar Motors recently has added a special edition of the Fortuner to its line-up. It's named as the TRD Celebratory Edition and boasts of styling elements like the TRD Sportivo trim. Here's its picture gallery.
Available in pearl white body colour with a dual tone black roof, it also gets some new elements that differentiate it from the previous model.
For example, the front sports a TRD badge on the grille and there's a new bumper with faux skid plate. Meanwhile, the rear remains mostly unchanged except for the new design of the bumper.
Prospective buyers get new exclusive all-black 18-inch alloy wheels, which aren’t available on the standard 2WD AT Fortuner.
The dual tone theme continues inside the cabin as well. The red and black seats feature TRD logos and the dashboard gets contrast red stitching to match the theme.
The feature list continues from the standard SUV and there are no mechanical changes as well. It continues to be powered by a 177bhp, 2.8-litre diesel engine.
It's available only with this 2.8-litre diesel mill and six-speed automatic transmission in 4x2 configuration, priced at Rs 33.85 lakhs (ex-showroom).
