A few weeks ago, Tata Motors had updated the prices of its current flagship vehicle - the Hexa. Now the carmaker has introduced its 2019 model year update with a set of exterior and interior upgrades. The price of the base XE trim remains unchanged, but the price of other trims has increased a bit. Here's a picture gallery of the 2019 Hexa, which now starts at Rs 14.38 lakhs.
Changes to the exterior include two dual tone roof options, infinity black and titanium grey, limited to the top-spec trims. The black can be paired with either pearl white or tungsten silver body paint.
The latter grey roof top option, on the other hand, can be combined with three exterior paint schemes. These include arizona blue, urban bronze and sky grey.
Tata Motors has introduced a set of new alloy wheels apart from the bigger 19-inch diamond cut alloys. These new 17-inch charcoal grey coloured wheels boost the visual appeal of the SUV.
Coming on to the changes inside, the major update here is the new seven-inch infotainment system by Harman. It now gets Android Auto connectivity but still misses out on Apple CarPlay.
However, it still comes with smart features paired to the reversing camera with park assist. These include ConnectNext, smart remote, Emergency Assist and Trip-On and a smart manual.
Another tweak comes in the form of light chrome rings around the infotainment and air vents. Furthermore, there's a piano black bezel on the lower portion of the steering wheel as well.
There are no mechanical changes to the Hexa and it continues to be powered by the same engine and transmission options.
Even in terms of safety equipment, it is loaded with a number of active and passive safety features. The top-spec trims get six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold control etc. to name a few.
