Tata has launched a model year update for its Hexa SUV in India at Rs 14.38 lakhs. This update sees the Indian automaker’s flagship SUV get minor exterior updates, new design for the alloy wheels as well as an Android Auto compatible Harman touchscreen with a 7.0-inch display.
This 2019 Hexa will be offered in five colours with the dual tone roof options in the top end variants in two colours- Infinity Black and Titanium Grey. Tata will continue to offer diamond cut alloy wheels for top spec automatic variants while the manual transmission will be styled with Charcoal Grey Alloy Wheels.
There are seven variants and with one 2.2-litre diesel engine in two states of tune. In the XE and XM variants it produces 148bhp/320Nm while in the XM+ and XT/XTA variants it produces 154bhp /400Nm. A six-speed manual is common across the range while a six-speed AT is available in the XMA/XTA variants.
The Tata Hexa is a direct rival for the likes of the Mahindra XUV500 and Mahindra Scorpio but is also a seven-seat option when looking at vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Kia SP2i.
