We are all waiting for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Cross, which might be named as the XL6 upon launch next month. Ahead of its reveal, Suzuki has shown an interesting concept at the GIIAS 2019 (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show). Unlike the upcoming Indian version, this one is more of a sporty version developed by an Indonesia-based Signal Group. Here's its picture gallery.
In terms of exterior appearance, the concept boasts of a more prominent and aggressive nose. There are horizontal slats instead of the honeycomb grille.
Other noticeable design tweaks include sharper headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and a new front bumper with chrome treatment.
Also, the conventional alloy wheels have been replaced with larger 10-spoke alloy wheels with a new pattern that adds to a sporty appeal.
On the inside, the cabin is more or less the same in layout and upholstery, but gets some tweaks to the dashboard.
More importantly, the second row seats come with a 40-20-40 split that can be used as a six- or a seven-seater. The middle partition folds to be used as an arm rest in this version.
Powered by the Indonesia-spec 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that produces 104bhp and 138Nm of torque, this motor comes mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
