The production-ready version of the 2019 Skoda Superb will be showcased tomorrow at the 2019 Ice Hockey World Championship in the Slovakian capital, Bratislava. Earlier this month, the Czech car manufacturer teased the design sketches for the upcoming premium sedan. As seen in images, the new Superb will get a sharp and sleek fascia with vertical slat grille and full LED matrix headlamps.Â
Mechanically, the new Skoda Superb is expected to continue with the existing powertrain. If reports are to be believed, the vehicle will get a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol motor mated to an electric motor that will generate a combined power output of about 250-300bhp. Although the feature list is not known for now, the company claims that the new Superb will get several premium features which are common in the high-tier segments. Â
More details about the vehicle will be known post its official unveiling tomorrow. The Skoda Superb facelift is likely to arrive in India later this year or early next year. Post-launch, the new Skoda Superb will compete against the likes of the Honda Accord, Volkswagen Passat, and the new-gen Toyota Camry.
