The updated Range Rover Sentinel was recently unveiled with a bigger engine and an improved chassis. It is identical to the Range Rover Autobiography in terms of design, refinement and appearance. This 2019 Range Rover Sentinel was also showcased at the Home Office Security and Policing show from 5-7 March 2019, at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. Let's take a quick look at its top five highlights.
1. Designed by SVO division
This discreetly armoured variant of the Range Rover Autobiography is designed, engineered and built by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO).
2. Uplifted power output
The V6 engine has now been replaced and the Sentinel now features Land Rover’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol mill. This powerplant helps the SUV to catapult from 0-100kmph in 10.4 seconds.
3. A mobile fortress
Range Rover is known for providing utmost luxury and the Sentinel is no different. In fact, it now features the latest in occupant protection including armoured glass, roof blast-protection and even an emergency escape system.
4. Customary refinement
And despite the changes to make it a robust vehicle, all of the design, refinement and presence expected of the luxury Range Rover Autobiography SUV has been kept intact.
5. Peerless capability
Furthermore, the overall upgrades to the chassis, suspension and braking systems only ensure legendary all-terrain capability has been retained.
