Our spy photographers have shot the next-generation Dodge Ram pick-up’s front fascia completely undisguised. Although, we have already shared pictures of this truck in the past, the nose section was camouflaged to mask the true design. The exposed front end reveals the massive chrome grille whose sharper design looks contemporary, and is a welcome improvement over the outgoing car’s huge and disproportionate grille.
Other than this, the upcoming pick-up is also slated to get split tail-gates, fresh tail lamps and new bumpers. Sources state that unlike the Ford F-150 that will use aluminium-intense construction, the new Ram will continue to use steel for the bed. We have also caught a few glimpses of the interiors a few months ago and you can read more about that here. The highlight here is the larger infotainment screen with differently styled controls.
Powering the new Ram will be a selection of V6 and V8 engines at the time of launch. Reports speculate that the line-up could be further expanded at a later time with a V6 diesel, turbo-charged four-cylinder motors, and the inevitable hybrids. Expect FCA to showcase the new Ram at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit that kicks off on 13 January.
