Nissan unveiled the Vmotion 2.0 concept at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. Now it looks like the Japanese car maker will be gradually incorporating these design elements into its newest offering. A recent spy shot of the 2019 Nissan Altima confirms that the new mid-sized sedan is in the works and will be styled along the lines of the new Vmotion 2.0 concept.
The spotted car wears a camouflage, yet, we managed to get a glimpse of its restyled front. The grille has adopted the new V-shape, the headlamp assembly has been styled to look sleeker and it also houses the DRL inserts. Side proportions are not vastly different from its predecessor, however there could be a few tweaked shoulder and waist lines beneath the camouflage. The rear end is expected to be revamped as part of the update.
Inside the cabin, the new car will get a tablet style infotainment system and a flat bottom steering wheel. The dashboard is blacked out, however, the company has put in chrome inserts to add to the premium feel of the cabin.
Power source is expected to be the same in-line four units. However, the higher trims are expected to be offered with a V6 unit. The new Nissan Altima is expected to be unveiled later next year and could be dubbed as the 2019 model.
It is unlikely that Nissan will bring the Altima to the Indian market, however we can expect the current Nissan portfolio to adapt the Vmotion 2.0 concept design in their due update.
