The start of 2019 has already been exciting with so many new car launches. To add to all the buzz, Italian luxury carmaker Maserati has introduced the 2019 edition of Quattroporte in India. This is the carmaker's flagship sedan offered in GranLusso and GranSport trims, priced at Rs 1.74 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 1.79 crores, respectively. Let's take a look at its picture gallery.
Colour options are now refreshed with a choice of 10 colours. This includes two new tri-coat shades - the iconic Rosso Potente and the deep dark Blu Nobile.
Up front, the nose features the Alfieri-shaped three-dimensional grille. This gets vertical chrome rib elements that contrast with the depth of the 'sharknose' effect.
On to the sides, you will notice a new pattern for the alloys. Two new designs are available in 20 and 21-inch sizes especially for this 2019 edition.
Maserati is now offering two new high-gloss interior veneers for the Quattroporte. These come with specific stitching on the seats and double stitching on the door panels.
Also for the first time, the carmaker has introduced the full-grain Pieno Fiore leather. It is available as an exclusive option and can be had in three colours.
Furthermore, the MTC+ infotainment system has now been enhanced with updated display graphics and improved climate control system ergonomics.
There are no petrol engine options for the Quattroporte. It draws power from a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine producing 275bhp of power and 600Nm of torque.
Interestingly, this oil-burner features AdBlue technology, which through the exhaust system's active sound technology produces a characteristic Maserati sound underlining the car's performance-ready nature.
Another highlight is the redesigned gearshift lever featuring a more intuitive shift pattern. There's an option of using the eight-speed ZF gearbox in automatic or manual mode simply by shifting the lever from right to left.
