> Will have two engine options with both manual and AMT options
> It will be dimensionally larger, have a new platform, with a revised feature-list
The wait is finally over. India will witness the launch of one of its most popular hatches of all time, the all-new Wagon R, on January 23.
Thanks to our sources and information that was leaked recently, we already brought you a variety of details, including the engines and transmissions, platform, dimensions and equipment. This edition will get two engine options. The 1.0-litre 67bhp/90Nm motor from the current car, and the 1.2-litre 82bhp/113Nm engine from the Swift/Ignis. Interestingly, both engines will get a five-speed manual/AMT gearbox. Besides that, one can read up on the features here.
There’s no doubt that the popularity of Maruti’s Wagon R is here to stay in the time to come. This isn’t just based on how the current model is performing in the market, but also what we’ve drawn out from what’s known about the upcoming car. Which, by far, is nothing short of promising.
What’s left, of course, is the variant-wise feature list and the prices which will be made available tomorrow. So stay tuned for the details.
