The popular premium hatchback from Maruti Suzuki, the Baleno has been launched in India with a fresh set of cosmetic and feature upgrades. The new model continues to be offered in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The hatchback is available in six colour options – pearl artic white, premium silver, nexa blue, autumn orange, phoenix red and magma grey.
What’s good about it?
The revised front fascia now features a new grille with dynamic 3D detailing. The top-spec model also gets LED projector headlamps over the bi-xenon units in the older model. The vehicle further comes with new precision cut 16-inch alloy wheels. What's more, it gets a black interior with premium blue detailing, dual tone seat fabric and exclusive interior ornamentation. The feature list includes 17.78cms capacitive touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and voice recognition. The display gives out necessary vehicle information and alerts like low fuel, parking brake and more.
What’s not so good?
Although the front AC vents are effective and claim to efficiently cool the cabin, the vehicle misses out on the rear AC vents. Furthermore, the vehicle only offers dual front airbags which are standard and the CVT option is limited to the petrol version.
Best variant to buy
The Zeta variant is a good option as it can be had in CVT as well as manual transmission options. For those who are keen on buying a fully loaded, feature-rich variant, the top-spec Alpha is the one.
