- The Discovery Sport’s Ingenium engines now gets rejigged variants.
- The HSE trim gets a Dynamic Design Pack with an upgraded Touch Pro system.
Land Rover has launched the 2019MY Discovery Sport in India for a price of Rs 44.68 lakhs ex-showroom. The updated Discovery Sport gets a more powerful Ingenium petrol and diesel engine with more output than before while the HSE variant now gets a new Dynamic Design Pack which also adds a Touch Pro infotainment system.
The British marque has also rejigged the entire variant line-up of the Discovery Sport with the update. Apart from the Pure trim (which only comes with a diesel engine option) the SE and HSE are now both available with petrol and diesel engine options. There is also a diesel HSE Luxury trim on offer apart from Landmark Edition which is similar to the one seen on the Evoque.
Under the hood, the 2.0-litre petrol Ingenium motor produces 237bhp and 340Nm. The diesel 2.0-litre Ingenium, on the other hand, is available in two states of tune – 147bhp in Pure trim and 177bhp in the rest of the variants. The transmission is the same nine-speed automatic offered as standard.
The HSE Luxury variant which also gets a Dynamic Design Pack gets additional exterior styling which includes body styling kit, chrome tailpipe, black pack with special black grille along with the black license plate plinth and red 'Sport' badge.
