The 2019 Hyundai Elantra has been revealed in pictures ahead of its official launch on 3 October. Booking for the premium sedan has commenced today. Hyundai claims that the new Elantra projects a sportier, futuristic and a progressive image.
As revealed in images, the upcoming Hyundai Elantra facelift gets a new hexagonal grille and redesigned triangular-shaped headlamp cluster with LED lamps and DRLs. The vehicle features a toned and muscular looking bonnet along with a set of new triangular fog lamps. The updated model gets a mature fascia as compared to its predecessor. As for the sides, the Elantra facelift gets new set of alloy wheels for freshness.Â
As for the rear, the Elantra facelift gets a set of new wraparound taillights that extends on to the boot lid. Additionally, the vehicle gets a new rear bumper that enhances its overall aesthetics. The interior bits have not been revealed, for now, however, the updated model is expected to get the new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control and tyre pressure monitoring system. Additionally, the new model will get premium leather upholstery and cooled front seats.Â
Mechanically, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra is expected to be offered with a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual and automatic option. A diesel engine might be introduced at a later date.
