This is the 2019 Ford Focus hatchback, caught nearly undisguised. The Focus will get a total redo for 2019, headed in Europe and with a space increase to fight rivals such as the Honda Civic and Volkswagen Golf.
Styling-wise, new LED accent lights take inspiration from Volvo, but the grille looks to be similar to the outgoing model. Externally, the size should increase modestly. The interior may get an upgrade in quality to combat criticisms of the old car, as well as more rear legroom.
China will build the Focus sedan, aimed at the local market as well as the US. A 1.5-litre three-cylinder is likely to be the volume engine, with a turbo and a dual-clutch transmission. We expect to see the new Focus early next year.
