The 2019 Cadillac CT6 has been spotted undergoing trials in the US. While the sedan is based on the same Omega platform, it gets a few cosmetic updates to give it a fresh look.
The cosmetic updates for the 2019 Cadillac CT6 have been inspired by the Escala Concept shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, in August 2016. It gets a new front fascia thanks to the redesigned grille and thinner and horizontal headlamps. It is based on the same Omega platform which makes use of aluminium to aid weight loss. It will also get new electronic driving aids like Cadillac’s proprietary super cruise self-driving system.
The current CT6 gets a slew of four-cylinder and V6 powertrains under the hood. There is also a plug-in hybrid variant for the environment conscious. The engines power the rear wheels through an eight-speed transmission. The 2019 model is also expected to get a V8 engine. It will be unveiled in mid-2018 and is expected to go on sale later in the year.
