Fresh reports have emerged that claims that the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage will be priced at Rs 2.95 crores (ex-showroom) at the time of launch in India. Back in May this year, Aston Martin had commenced production of the new Vantage at its production facility in Gaydon, Warwickshire. The new model takes its design cues from the DB11 Concept and is believed to be more powerful, lighter and faster than its predecessor.
Under the hood, the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage will continue with the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 sourced from Mercedes-AMG that powers the DB11 V8. Set as far behind from the front axle as possible, the engine produces 503bhp at 6000rpm and 685Nm from 2000-5000rpm. All this firepower is sent to the rear wheels via ZF eight-speed paddle shifting transmission. The car manufacturer claims a top speed of 315kmph, while also stating that the vehicle can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3.5-seconds.  Â
The bulging clamshell bonnet gives it a muscular appeal. Moreover, it is believed that the new platform used in this model is made especially for forthcoming Astons. The Vantage tips the scale at 1,530kg. At 4465mm, the car is 284mm shorter than the DB11 and 34mm shorter than a Porsche 911. One can also expect a healthy dose of exotic materials and advanced tech in the cabin.
