Volvo has silently upgraded the diesel variants of the Volvo XC90 in India. All three D5 diesel variants are now available with more equipment and safety kit. The base Momentum variant is priced at Rs 76.47 lakhs, while the mid-level variant R-Design is priced at Rs 83.92 lakh. The diesel top-spec Inscription variant is priced at Rs 86.96 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India).
Momentum, the entry-level variant of XC90 gets heated front seats, paddle shifters, adaptive cruise control, compass and parking assist system as standard. The mid-level R-Design gets Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with cross traffic alert, rear collision mitigation support along with a front collision warning system, a 360-degree camera and a heated steering wheel. The top-spec Inscription variant of the XC60 now comes with ventilated seats with a massage function for rear seats.
Volvo XC90 D5 diesel gets all-wheel drive system as standard. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that generates 232bhp or power at 4,000rpm and 480 Nm of peak torque at 1,750-2,250 rpm. The fresh upgrades are limited to only diesel variants of the XC90, while the petrol top-spec version continues to be offered with existing equipment.
