The Hyundai Creta received a special edition at the ongoing Sao Paulo Motor Show. Called the Diamond Edition, the SUV comes with more than 200 changes according to the Korean carmaker. It is based on the top-spec model which, in the Brazilian market, is called the Prestige and comes with features like a panoramic sunroof, quilted leather seats with three colour options and a new exterior body paint.
The special edition Creta looks the part with the new Blue Deep Dive exterior colour which is complemented by black treatment on the front bumper and the cascading grille. Even the headlamps get a smoked finish, meanwhile, the tail lamps get a completely new LED signature. Also part of the package is the stylish looking 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance 245/45 profile tyres.
On the inside, the dual tone dashboard is finished in caramel, ivory and brown with expensive materials used all around. The seven-inch multimedia screen comes with navigation and smartphone connectivity and it also gets a 750Watts JBL sound system with three amplifiers, six speakers and a subwoofer. For the rear seat passengers, there are two more screens of 10-inch size each with USB, DVD, HDMI and internet connectivity.
According to reports, the features of the Creta Diamond Edition will be later used as accessories in the lower spec models. As far as Indian introduction is concerned, we expect Hyundai to introduce the Diamond Edition of the Creta in our country as well. But that will be an exclusive offering and might be introduced just before the current-gen Creta will be prepping for its successor.
