The prototype of the updated Renault Duster also known as the Dacia Duster in some markets, was recently captured testing. Recently, a digitally rendered image of the updated Duster surfaced on the internet, giving us a glimpse of how the new compact SUV from the French manufacturer will look like.
The rendered image displays the front end which has been restyled with sleeker headlamps and chrome highlights in the grille. The air dam is reworked with the skid plate and the fog lamps are larger than before. The compact SUV continues to carry the flared wheel arches and the roof rail. However, the side profile now exhibits a newly-designed rocker panel. The rear end of the SUV is expected to be restyled as well and the cabin is also likely to be revised with addition of a few more features.
The Duster received its midlife update in early 2015 and it is highly anticipated that the French manufacturer will spawn the new generation of the compact SUV in the Indian market early next year. The next generation is expected to be based on a new platform and could be offered with tweaks in the powertrain.
The next gen Duster is likely to be showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto expo and could go on sale soon after it’s unveiling. In that segment, the Renault Duster will contend with rival like the Nissan Terrano and the Hyundai Creta.
