- Range includes high performance SVR variant
The MY 2018 model Range Rover Sport family of SUVs is now available in India with prices starting from Rs 99.48 lakhs (All-India, ex-showroom). Like its elder sibling, this too is a mid-life update for this generation of the iconic SUV.
Exterior updates for the car include new grille, LED headlamps, new tail lamps and chunkier bumpers with the integrated exhausts. Inside, you now get the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system and multiple trim options for all three rows.
The high performance SVR variant gets sharper styling in the form of sportier bumpers, larger wheels and tyres and that blue SVR badge at the rear to let everyone know that you mean business. You also get optional black carbon inserts for the grille, wing mirrors and if you want a full carbon fibre bonnet. The SVRs interiors get two-tone quilted racing buckets, SVR badges and more carbon fibre inserts.
You get a variety of engine options ranging from a 2.0-litre turbo petrol to a 5.0-litre supercharged V8. In the standard car, the diesels’ output is in the range of 255bhp to 335bhp while the petrol goes up to 350bhp. The SVR 5.0-litre V8 has been tuned by the SV boys at Gaydon to produce 570bhp! All models get a ZF eight-speed AT with the standard variants getting Land Rover’s terrain response system.
