Porsche India recently announced the prices for the third generation Cayenne Turbo. The SUV is priced at Rs 1.92 crores (ex-showroom) and will be officially launched in the coming month. Porsche dealers are accepting bookings with a token amount of Rs 5 lakhs. As we all wait for the deliveries to begin in June, let's take a look at its photo gallery in the meanwhile.
The new Cayenne Turbo is based on the VW Group's MLB platform. This platform also underpins the Lamborghini Urus, Audi Q7 and the Volkswagen Touareg.
The Cayenne maintains its big SUV proportions with a length of 4,926mm, width of 1,983mm and a height of 1,673mm. The SUV's wheelbase is rated at 2,895mm.
Design wise, the new Cayenne sports a larger front grille with air vents on either side featuring LED DRLs. The LED headlamps are new with four LED positioning lights.
At the rear, the most striking features are the new LED tail lamp clusters connected by an LED light bar. The quad-exhaust tips and the new 21-inch alloy wheels add to the appeal.
The cabin of the car boasts of a three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a touchscreen infotainment system. Many controls get capacitive touch to add to the exclusivity inside.
The new Cayenne Turbo comes powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 mill producing 542bhp and 770Nm of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels.
Porsche's Traction Management (PTM), Stability Management (PSM), Automatic Brake Differential (ABD) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) are paired with rear axle steering and air-suspension.
