Porsche has unveiled its plug-in E-Hybrid version of the Cayenne. What is impressive is the power figures that the 3-litre V6 that coupled with the electric motor makes a whopping 340bhp and even more impressive 700Nm of torque, right from the word go!
The hybrid control module has been reworked for 2018, with Porsche claiming it reacts faster than before and, crucially, feels cohesive with the eight-speed automatic transmission offered across the Cayenne range. Flat out, the hybrid SUV will hit 100 kmph in 5 seconds and go on to hit 253 kmph. Porsche is claiming 44km of range and a 135 kmph top speed in electric mode.
Inside, the E-Hybrid is available with a head-up display, a first for Porsche. Among the wider range of options is 22-inch alloy wheels and an InnoDrive package with adaptive cruise control, massaging seats and a heated windscreen.
