Volvo is expanding its luxury game with an Inscription trim for its latest India-bound XC40 SUV. Inscription is Volvo’s luxury package that adds quite a bit of extra kit to the standard car both on the inside and outside although mechanically there are no additions to the car.
The US spec model is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol while markets like India are expected to make use of the 2.0-litre diesel. This will, however, be in a lower state of tune as compared to the XC90 and S90.
The car is expected to arrive in India towards the latter half of this year first via the CBU route. And then if there is sufficient demand, they will be locally assembled at the new Bengaluru plant.
