-Outlander makes a comeback after nearly six years
- Will be offered only with 2.4-litre petrol
-Priced at Rs 31.84 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi)
The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander will be officially launched in India tomorrow. It’s a return for the Japanese automaker’s petrol only SUV after a significant hiatus and is priced at Rs 31.84 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It’s being offered in one top-of-the-line fully loaded variant and across seven colour options.
The exterior design philosophy finally brings Mitsubishi’s latest design language to India while the cabin fully loaded up with everything that is expected of a car in this part of the market. This includes seven airbags, leather interiors, Rockford Fosgate touchscreen system, dual zone climate control and keyless entry.
Powering this Outlander is a 2.4-litre petrol producing 165bhp/222Nm of torque. You get AWD on demand, electronic differential lock and a CVT with paddle shifters. The package includes ABS with EBD, hill-start assist as well as a stability control programme.
The Outlander takes on petrol powered versions of the Toyota Fortuner, upcoming Honda CR-V and the Skoda Superb. While being significantly more expensive, it could also be looked at as an option against the petrol powered version of the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson.
