2018 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AGS launched at Rs 8.54 lakhs

- 2018 Vitara Brezza AMT variants - VDi, ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ Dual Tone
- Powered by existing 1.3-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 89bhp/200Nm
- ABS, dual airbags, high speed warning alert and parking sensor offered as standard

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is now available in AGS (Auto Gear Shift), also known as AMT options. Starting at a price of Rs 8.54 lakhs, the optional AGS is available in three variants – Vdi, ZDi and ZDi+/ZDi+ Dual Tone. In addition to the existing colour options, the updated Vitara Brezza is now available in new shades of autumn orange and a dual-tone autumn orange with pearl artic white roof in the top-spec version. Apart from the AGS option, the compact SUV continues to be powered by the existing diesel engine.

In terms of cosmetic upgrades, the 2018 model gets a sporty stance with a new chrome grille and back door chrome garnish as standard along with the new glossy black alloy wheels. As for safety, the new Vitara Brezza now gets front dual air bags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child restraint system, high speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors, front seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters as standard. Mechanically, it continues to be powered by the 1.3-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that generates 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque.

Speaking on the occasion, R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), MSIL said: “Vitara Brezza has been a game changer for India’s SUV market. They now have the option of Auto Gear Shift, the acclaimed two-pedal technology, for enhanced convenience.  AGS has been very well accepted by customers, and sales of AGS variants in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio have tripled in three years. By making this technology available on Vitara Brezza, together with a refreshed design, we expect India’s number one SUV to become even more attractive.”
