Mahindra XUV500 had been due for a facelift for quite some time now. The 2018 XUV500 facelift was recently spotted undisguised revealing a few details on what to expect from the upcoming model. Along with new cosmetic and feature upgrades, the new XUV500 will get minor mechanical upgrades that will return slightly enhanced power output figures.

Based on what can be seen, the new XUV500 gets a six-slot radiator grille and redesigned headlamps with a horizontal LED DRL strip. The side resembles the current generation model, however it is likely to get 18-inch alloy wheels. As for the rear, the new XUV500 facelift gets a triangular tail lamp, redesigned tailgate with new garnish and a new roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp.
As for the interior, the vehicle will get new leather upholstery and new soft-touch plastic. The new model will also get an upgraded infotainment system with more features. Under the hood, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine will be tweaked to generate power output figures close to 148bhp. The new model is expected to be launched sometime early in the third quarter of this year and will be priced slightly higher than the current model.
