The Jaguar F-Pace has a place for itself in the international market with its impressive performance and luxury features. However, the desire for further enhanced performance has encouraged the automaker to work on the F-Pace SVR which will be quicker and better performing than the regular F-Pace. Fresh images for the F-Pace SVR have surfaced thereby indicating its possible launch sometime in 2018.
The abbreviation SVR stands for ‘Special Vehicle Operations’ which is basically the automaker’s special tuning division which help in delivering high performance versions. The current F-Pace is powered by 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options which generate 380bhp and 300bhp of power respectively. The vehicle is capable of attaining a top speed of 257kmph. The automatic gearbox comes mated to 8-speed automatic units. The SVR version will feature a combination of drivetrain, suspension, interior and body enhancements which makes it a better performer. The powerful variant is expected to do about 322kmph. The performance SUVs from Jaguar are loaded with all modern safety features.
Jaguar will not be launching the SVR variant in India anytime soon and it might only happen by 2018. The automaker is yet to launch the F-Pace in India and will do it via the CBU route. When introduced here, it is expected to be priced around Rs 1 crore. More details on the F-Pace SVR will be known at a later date.
