The 2018 Honda Jazz has finally been launched in India for a starting price of Rs 7.35 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model has been introduced with enhanced style, enriched interiors and added safety features. The 2018 Jazz is available in two petrol variants – V and VX. While the diesel version is available in three variants namely – S, V and VX. In addition to existing colours such as modern steel metallic, golden brown metallic and white orchid pearl, the new model is now also available in new colour options such as radiant red metallic and lunar silver metallic.
Here below are a list of variant-wise features being offered –
Honda Jazz 'S'
The ‘S’ variant is only available with a standard 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Being offered as an entry level diesel variant, the R15 tyres wrap around steel wheels and it gets a body coloured outside door handle. The antennae is positioned in the front centre, gets an average fuel economy display and it is offered with a standard multi-information combimeter with blue illumination. The trim gets a single illumination light adjuster dial and a basic 8.9 cm integrated audio with AUX-in. As part of standard safety equipment, the base diesel variant gets driver and co-driver SRS airbag system, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensor, speed sensing auto door lock and a windshield defogger. The vehicle gets a single horn type unlike the other variants which are offered with a dual type.
Honda Jazz 'V'
The ‘V’ variant is available with the standard diesel engine option, while the 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine is available with a five-speed manual and a CVT transmission option. Over the ‘S’ variant, the ‘V’ variant is available with additional set of features such as front fog lamps, rear wiper and washer and 15-inch tyres which wrap around alloy wheels. The trim is offered with chrome outside door handle and a rear micro antennae. The feature list further includes, advanced multi-information combination meter with LCD display and a blue backlight, Eco Assist System with ambient rings on combimeter, instantaneous fuel economy display, outside temperature display and cruising range. The petrol CVT additionally gets a shift position indicator and paddle shifter. The front centre panel sports a premium glossy black finish and it gets a 12.7cms advanced integrated audio with CD player and AUX-in. The variant also offers handsfree telephone control on the steering wheel and premium beige fabric upholstery and door lining insert. The petrol CVT and the diesel option gets additional features like one push start/stop button with white and red illumination, Smart key system with keyless remote and cruise control.
Furthermore, the Jazz V trim is offered with auto AC with touchscreen control panel, Multiview rear parking camera with guidelines and a dual horn type.
Honda Jazz 'VX'
In addition to most of the features from the ‘V’ variant, the top-spec ‘VX’ is offered with additional set of features such as signature rear LED wing lights, turn indicator or ORVM, leather wrapped steering wheel, glossy silver inner door handles and silver finish door ornament. The top-spec variant is available in diesel as well as in petrol manual and CVT option with additional features like 17.7cm Advanced Infotainment System with Capacitive Touchscreen, In-built Satellite Linked Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Seamless Smartphone Connectivity (Android Auto, Apple Carplay), voice command and IR remote control. Moreover, it also offers the voice command on the steering wheel.
The mid-level ‘V’ variant is good choice for buyers looking for modest set of features. As for those who prefer nothing but the best, you can consider the top-spec ‘VX’ variant.
