Honda WR-V facelift, named the Vezel in Japan, is due for launch in the Japanese market in February 2018. Ahead of its official unveiling, the production spec images of the SUV have been leaked. The new model receives fresh exterior and interior upgrades this time around. Honda has been contemplating on launching six new models for India this year and we believe that the new 2018 HR-V might be one of them.
Based on what can be seen, the new model gets a large front grille with a blackened wide slat which flows onto the sharp LED headlamps. The SUV also gets large fog lamps along with a reworked bumper design. The rear section will also feature fresh upgrades in the form of redesigned LED tail lamps. As for the interior, the vehicle gets an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In the international market, the Honda HR-V is currently available in three engine options - a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol unit, a 1.5-litre i-VTEC+i-DCD hybrid power-train and a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel unit. The compact SUV will continue being offered in both manual and automatic transmission options. The India-bound HR-V might be powered by 1.5-litre i-Vtec four cylinder petrol engine and 1.5-litre Earth Dreams i-Dtec diesel engine options. More details about the vehicle will be known during the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo event in the country.
