What you see in this shot is the 2018 Ford Mustang draped in, what will be called, the Black Accent Package. While the facelifted car will be available in the US market from September 2017, let’s look at the some of the highlights of this package, given that Ford hasn’t revealed all the details yet.
These include the large black ‘5.0’ badges on the fender, the blacked-out pony badge on the front grille, and the slim black spoiler on the rear section of this prototype. There’s more ‘black’ in store for buyers, like the obvious black alloys, the blacked-out roof and the seemingly unnoticeable GT badge between the rear tail lamps.
Sources add that a 2018 Ford Mustang order guide leaked a few days ago, and if we go by the information on that, the facelifted Mustang will get the Black Accent Package on both the GT and the EcoBoost models. Ford has always built Mustangs with a number of packages, since the market has always warmed up to these add-ons. Stay tuned to CarWale for more news on Ford’s plans with the facelifted Mustang in the months to come.
