The 2018 Ford Mustang has been spotted on test and this time around it’s the convertible version. One of America’s most iconic machines, this is expected to be the final update for the vehicle before an all-new Mustang arrives sometime in 2020.
Our sources suggest that this new vehicle will get some minor styling tweaks and an expanded range of special packages that is expected to include some iconic names like the Mach 1 and most probably maybe even the Carrol Shelby inspired Super Snake badging.
The big changes are expected to arrive on the mechanical front where the Mustang is expected to graduate from the current six-speed unit to a 10 speed unit currently under development. We in India got the Mustang earlier this year but since it’s a CBU coming directly from the USA, we could expect whatever update it gets to be directly offered in India once the 2018 car has been unveiled and launched.
